چکیده

The present work describes a new approach for the design of Frequency-Selective Surface (FSS) in context frequency filters to increase isolation between two vehicle-borne antennas. A compact FSS based on nested square meandered resonators is optimized multifrequency operation. Furthermore, workflow proposed. In general, measurement low-profile does not correspond simulation through Floquet modes periodic boundary conditions due lack uniformity mutual coupling among unit cells. proposed method demonstrates agreement infinite and finite prototype once convenient scale factor applied, which facilitates workflow. this case, an used as efficient filter antennas by 6 dB three representative bands (3GPP, WiFI I II). way, can be placed at approximately half their actual distance with same performance spatial-constrained vehicular environments.

Low-Profile Design of Metasurface Considering FSS Filtering Characteristics

This paper describes a metasurface designed utilizing either a Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) that has band-pass characteristics or one with band-rejection filtering characteristics in order to clarify the relationship between the filtering characteristics of the FSS and the Perfect Magnetic Conductor (PMC) characteristics of the metasurface. The effects of the filtering characteristics of t...

Multimode/Multifrequency Low Frequency Airborne Radar Design

This work deals with the design of multimode/multifrequency airborne radar suitable for imaging and subsurface sounding. The system operates at relatively low frequencies in the band ranging from VHF to UHF. It is able to work in two different modalities: (i) nadir-looking sounder in the VHF band (163MHz) and (ii) side-looking imager (SAR) in the UHF band with two channels at 450MHz and 860MHz....

Broadband low-profile antennas for wireless applications

Two novel broadband low-profile antennas are developed for the mobile terminals of wireless applications. The first one is a quasiplanar antenna which has a height of 0.06l0, where l0 is the free-space wavelength at the centre frequency. The second one is a planar antenna which has a height of 0.056l0. It is demonstrated that the quasiplanar antenna can achieve a bandwidth for VSWR , 2 of more ...

Development of Low-profile Antennas for CubeSats

The advent of transparent antennas on CubeSats originated out of necessity to eradicate the current mechanically dependent monopole antennas that are typically placed on the edges of the satellite to maximize the efficacy of its solar panels. Consequently, as a direct result of their mechanical deployment methods, these antennas are highly prone to failure. Standard patch antennas cannot be use...

Design Methodology for Multifunction Vehicle Bus Devices

The specifications analysis for an MVB (Multifunction Vehicle Bus) bus administrator showed that system-on-a-chip strategies should be adopted to cope with its great complexity. Particularly, a new hardware/software codesign methodology has been followed. Its main concept is that the MVB devices (the bus administrator itself and the less complex devices) constitute a “progressive family”. This ...
